Burning the Sun Still online The vital time we hold Signing off from life To find the open road It must end The world is ours Somewhere Burning the sun On the lam The soul that flies Far outside The fates we've broken with All we are so longs To finally begin It must end The world is ours Just somewhere Burning the sun On the lam And the soul that flies Is on the lam Burning the sun The last run Before the darkness Descends (BREAK) Seasons cycling Through one constant frame Only vices left To relieve your wait Demons on your back Feeding off your faith Knowing not for certain If it's real or feigned Feeling all the while Nothing's bound to change Knowing something more Is somewhere Burning the sun On the lam And the soul that flies Is on the lam Burning the sun The last run Before the darkness Descends

Zero Hour 04:36
Zero Hour Night falls on this Vacant home Cold and dark Cries Mourning something More than Why Try not to get So lost in Thoughts of fault Pride Holding something More than All-out war No plan A long way to fall back What is enough to wake Yourself from this? What is enough to break This spell of dread? Just hold on for One more long month Or more Life Holding something More than All that was No guilt No more talk What is enough to wake Yourself from this? What is enough to break This spell of dread? And all the long nights I’ve spent Embittered in my own tears Just tell me it’s still worth it

Gift 04:37
Gift So nice The two of us here Zoned off Away from our cares All odds Against our new gift Shared Something calls to our fiction Something comes to life Here No one can know of this Owned by the cost of our path How long to walk in darkened bliss Something calls to our fiction Something calls to our shared terror Save us from Us (BREAK) Something calls to our fiction Something Calls to our shared terror The way home Calls to our shared terror Save us from Us
4.
Unknown 04:39
Unknown This dark life unknown Could break my will And time is cut too close To know when A night like all the rest You won't stay long Fight the thoughts Forming Hold on Dig down from this hole Through grave heights lived And bargain for enough To build on Another month and yet We're still unknown Fight the thoughts Forming Hold on All in Or not And now you're gone again Away from us To dine with all of them While I'm Alone With my thoughts
5.
The Other 03:53
The Other Dormant thoughts Locked down now for years Have awakened From their silence Covered in blood Genocidal Recounting statements That you've forgotten And now you come To be forgiven For those days that You were not here And I could try To ignore my fears But that won't help If you fight like this Careful, dear There's no why here (BREAK) And I could try To ignore my fears But that won't help If you fight like this Careful... Careful... Careful, dear... There's no why here Careful... Don't stay... Don't stay, long
6.
Loveless 04:51
Loveless It’s been a while Since I felt Safe enough to talk like this Tell me now Your heart longs To be purged of Your darkest tears It’s time for our talk Don’t be scared I won't start Anything till you've spoken Show the face You hide so well The one you can be Your true self With It’s time for our talk, love To fill up with Something In your gaze There’s no warmth And there is no sign of us All that we find Is the same road Nowhere And I don’t feel so bad, dear And I don’t feel so sad I could lie And say I'm wrong Thinking how you might take this But just be still And mind your mouth The worst of it will be over Soon It’s time for our talk, love To fill up with Something In your gaze There’s no warmth And there is no sign of us All that we find Is the same road Suddenly gives To our shadows Brought to light Doomed

Ghosts 04:44
Ghosts Don't try defending this All your whys are known It's how you failed By your hand Discarded All that was sought No fix for what you've done Time won't fail to mark This as your end Now in death You fall in kind with Them all Long and longer So long Still Long gone (BREAK) No change since you left All contact still broken No shame for how you did this Your true face revealed now One final moment to grieve this Our battle now faced alone Sold Sold Sold
9.
Hindsight 04:30
Hindsight Drive Straight into morning Cold, dark tears Falling Hopeless in knowing It’s all I feared You said we’re almost there It’s clear you will not arrive In time Still Onward through nowhere Known I’ve been Parted for good and all? It’s out of my hands The threat of our own lives Is where it all went awry ~The circle ends~ No other exit Progress or die No other exit The fault is mine (BREAK) No other exit Progress or die No other exit The fault is mine No other exit Progress or...

Life Force 04:15
Life Force This world spares no one All will mourn their loss Some fight for their hearts Still Save the talk of our Life's untold windfall And set the focus on results Flesh and bone Will too soon give way to dust This breath holds all our bliss Save the talk of our Life's untold windfall And set the focus on results Waste no more tears Time waits for no man Solve this Life is calling Face your moment Sink or soar Save the talk of our Life's untold windfall And set the focus on results Waste no more tears Time waits for no man Solve this
11.
Transcend 04:59
Transcend Time has stopped And I don't mind what else is The window's arrived Again now Beyond the moments Where our former lives Have held us The world outside This shelter So quiet and distant Your knowing eyes To lift us From my resistance And now There's something I Have failed too long at That still longs to rise Above this Transcend the limits Of this opening Between us The world outside This shelter So quiet and distant Your knowing eyes To lift us From my resistance To share a life Like in our windows Rising from our time Wishing Fade to white From my Cold, dark resistance Hold to my surrender I know your mind I won't forget So hard to find this So hard to find this Fade to white From our guilt
12.
Still Here 06:04
Still Here Been driving for so long and yet No sign of any place to rest Horizon now farther still Day by the month Still there's no fix on when One constant thought: "Follow this..." And all I have not yet said, love Just know I won't quit One road meant for Two lives Two fallen lives Face down the storm Hands on the wheel Must stay the course That's been revealed While life remains Hope exists And all I have not yet said, love Just know I won't quit One road meant for Two fallen lives To hold this moment in time Knowing we're still here Now

about

Formed in 2006 by singer/guitarist/drummer Ron Tippin, and featuring his teenage son Zach on bass, Widetrack's "Alterna-Prog" sound has been described as, "Twilight Zone creator Rod Serling holds a group therapy session with members of Pink Floyd and Soundgarden."

The band has released two CDs: their 2007 debut self-titled album, and 2009's 'Widetrack II'. Both albums were recorded and co-produced by Andy Patalan, guitarist for popular '90s grunge-rock band, Sponge.

In 2016, the band released a modernized rocked-out version of Pink Floyd's classic, 'Welcome to the Machine', receiving critical and commercial acclaim.

The band's third album, 'Widetrack III' will be released on Friday, May 18th, 2018.
